Remembrance Sunday

Lutterworth Town Council are responsible for the annual Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service in Lutterworth and organise this event in conjunction with the Lutterworth branch of the Royal British Legion.

Each year, we are honoured to be joined by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire.

Taking Part

The Remembrance Sunday Parade is formed up of local groups and organisations such as Forces Veterans, Forces Cadets, the Emergency Services, various groups from the Scouting movement and in recent years, we have had the privilege of being joined by the 244 Signals Squadron.

For more information on how to join the parade, please contact events@lutterworth.org.uk.

Laying a Wreath

If you wish to lay a wreath during the service, you must register your intention with the Royal British Legion before the event so it can be added to the schedule.

To do this, please email martin.lomasney@btinternet.com.

Road Closures

Church Street and George Street in Lutterworth will be completely closed between 10am - 12.30pm to through traffic.

This is to ensure that residents and visitors will be able to participate in the event in a safe environment, unhindered by traffic.

We would like to thank the Young Farmers for volunteering their time to marshal the road closures each year at this event.
